New Way To Get Software

Ever wish you could quickly run out to the local computer store and buy a new application that would make your work process easier? Or an app to entertain the kids? Or a new game to play? Now you don't have to leave the house, hotel, boat, or anywhere. You just need to be in front of your computer!

Now there’s an app for that!

The Mac App store is an on-line store where you can browse and download a thousand different applications for your computer. And, it’s also a new way to get them into your computer. It’s just like downloading iPhone apps, but for your computer. How brilliant is this?

Here’s how it works:

The Mac App Store is available as a free software update for Mac computers running Mac OS X v10.6 or later. If you have an earlier version of Mac OS X, you will need to upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

Simply download the new “Mac App Store” application.

Here’s how: if you’re already a Mac user, go to “Software Update” in the left most pull down window on the top of your home screen (the one with the little Apple icon), and click on it.

Then wait and follow the instructions. Put the Mac App Store application icon on the doc and simply click on to launch the app. Enter your Apple ID and start shopping.

New applications that you select will download directly to your computer. No more discs, boxes, storage issues.

If this isn’t enough information for you to get started, Apple has plenty more for you to read here: Mac App Store

You’re welcome!
